The site was recently updated.
The good news:
The main page http://www.mesa-systems.com/ has an American flag,
demonstrating that Ehlers is probably not an Al Queada cell member.
The site says "Six traders have already had T-MESA pay for itself, from mid
October."
The bad news:
The updated equity curve through 12/13, which doesn't include commission and
slippage, has gone essentially nowhere since August, around the time the
system was released. It declined slightly and then rose slightly, which
accounts for the six traders making $3K on it. Prior to August, the equity
curve was smoothly rising.
The equity curve looks a lot like that of a system optimized on historical
data which falls apart in out-of-sample data. Ehlers never talks about his
testing methodology, or disavows curve-fitting.
