Yes, I have also experienced the problem you describe. I have tried to get
help from the TradeStation people. My own efforts were more fruitful.
Try this work-around: After closing the TradeStation2000i application, you
need to also terminate two other "processes" that are still running in the
background, namely "TS232.EXE" and "GSW32.EXE". These two programs (or
dll's) are still normally active after closing the main program, and for
some unknown reason seem to be in a "locked" state that continues to cause
the problem involving the "performance" reports (which are actually just an
Excel spreadsheet application that is being executed by the 2000i software).
In order to stop these two processes I use a free utility called
"TaskInfo2000" that you can get at: http://www.iarsn.com/ . Works great
for debugging some times what is really running and what is hogging the CPU
time :>)). Using this approach, you can "clean up" the TS2000i Performance
Report hang-up, without a complete reboot.
