DTN/TS2k NIC port hacking

Am just wondering if there are any trader/hackers out there that can do a
registry modification to make the DTN version of GS do an ethernet linkup.
For example if you look into the Registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Omega Research\Server\DTN SubServer.DTN. This
is where you tell the server to look for data and what type of port to use.
Note there are Comport and Connection Type names there. There is also a DBC
SubServer.Signal that shows the connection type, Host Address "IP", and port
number as an example. So you might get a clue on how to configure the DTN
GS the same way. We know the Signal online GS version runs on TCP/IP and
the DTN version should too given the right registry configuration.
Replicating all the network settings as Signal Server uses and maybe
deleting some lines in the dtn subserver might get close to the solution.
This route may have a glitch though and may rewrite the deletions each time
the program is run because the real modification should come from Omega via
a GS tiny modification. Still, the modifications look to be few and the
machines are generally left running 24/7 anyway. The IP address and port
number would have to be consistant with the NIC setup for the dtn receiver,
guess that is obvious. Such a mod would not infringe on any software
license since only your computer's registry is being changed. Data is the
same whether sent by com or tcp. By the way 10 months ago I worked with the
Fibonacci Programmer to do the same type of modification and it only took
him 30 minutes to add the ethernet input option to his software. A DTN
techie said it would only take 15 minutes to do the Omega GS mod if they had
the will to do it. I also worked with the MetaServer guy to connect
Chameleon DDE to a Signal GS via tcp/ip in order to get the breadth data and
stat data into TS2k before dtn started broadcasting the breadth data. I
liken the above mod to hotrodding an old car to come up to current highway
speed standards. Its just a frigging shame the mfg is leaving so many
traders with something about to become nonfunctional. I hate to think of
all the years, hours, dollars, development spent by so many people that is
about to become a lifealtering experience. Personally, I would gladly pay
for any modification to keep ProSuite running on the dtn satellite. For me
its not an issue of trying to get a free upgrade out of Omega, hell I have
no qualms about paying for it. There must be someone hungry enough in
Moscow to do this job. PO did it for the Comstock feed in Europe so it
would run on ethernet and I think there is one person in the US who has come
close to doing for the DTN sat feed.
