I appreciate the thought but I have a thick skin to go with my thick head
and thick waist. (g)
Predict future trades?????? Oh my, run Toto run. I would not go near any
system that can predict.
After 30 years, I figure I know my wife pretty well. Can I predict her
behaviour with any degree of comfortable certainty? No!!!!! Then why should
I feel that the market's behaviour can be predicted with any degree of
comfortable certainty?
It's part of the human condition to be in control or exert control. We have
a need to be right. Market prediction and forecasting feeds this human
need. We spend far too much time trying to figure out where the market is
going and far too little time on figuring out an edge (a market behavioural
characteristic that can be exploited); how to protect our butts (risk
management), how to exploit our edge (betsizing), and most importantly
being at peace with ourselves and the market (the mental aspect of trading).
As you point out, it's a tough to get past the predictive hurdle especially
when the vendors are targeting that condition.
Regards,
Mike
