In my experience TS6 runs just fine.
I did 2 Win98 systems and a Win2000 system. However on the Win2000 system my
TS2000i would not run anymore after I installed TS6.
But so far TS6 seems to work fine, there must be something on your system
that it doesn't "like".

ps. I would completely remove TS6 and run the installation again.
