Using a locked indicator

Hi all,
Just wondering...I have an indicator that is locked, as in...I cant look 
at the code for the indicator.  I would like to try and do some system 
development with this indicator but cant figure out how to incorporate 
the indicator into my system.  Am I just plain out of luck ?  Can anyone 
help ?

PS: the indicator is the Dr. Clayburg Directional Day filter
