DTN has been planning for over a month now to add transaction volume
for CME contracts traded on Globex, at least for DTN's broadcast feed.
This change was made at least partly on the basis of DTN users
requests.
Under DTN's contract with TRAD, DTN would have given TRAD 30-days
notice before the effective date of DTN's revised broadcast feed. So
TRAD had 30 days to review the modification to DTN's feed and modify
the Global Server if necessary to accommodate Transaction volume for
CME Globex contracts.
It seems possible that 30-days notice wasn't enough time for vendors
to modify their server software to accommodate this particular change
to DTN's feed.
