TS2K Global Server is doing something reloading after abort, but what???

I'm not sure what's happening, but the Global Server has been 
having problems.

Sometimes, when I change my signal, it just hangs.  Then I have to 
use Task Manager to shut it down.

When I start it back up, it sometimes takes FOREVER - 1-3 hours. 
 I can hear my hard driving chunking away, and it has the message 
box saying "Loading..." with a partially filled progress bar.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can speed up this 
loading process?
