Hello,
Hac> I still don't understand why I survived when others didn't but I
Hac> must go on eventually. Give to your firemen and love your family
Hac> and remember above all to support your country.
some things keep bothering me - also like water sprinklers. there
were thousands of gallons of fuel spilled on a few floors. there
should have been many, MANY MORE gallons of water spilled on each
floor or at least some floors. Enough that the water should have
washed flaming fuel out and down the side of the buildings.
the burning fuel should have washed outside the building because the
elevator shafts and stair wells would have been sealed, as well as the
duct shafts. even if the before mentioned items were damaged, fluid
will seek the path of least resistance will it not? did anyone ever
hear them mention anything about the fire sprinklers and if they were
working? more so was the pumps working that push the water up into
the holding tanks on the roof?
Hac> We were told it was a small commuter plane - cesna or whatever.
Hac> That's why I think the police were holding people on the 39th
Hac> floor. Smoke was real bad and they were more concerned about
Hac> smoke inhalation than the building falling.
having been to midtown and experiencing the whole ny thing. i can
hear the fire and police now trying to keep the people calm. who
would of ever thought that those buildings would come down. not
knowing they probably caused many lives to be lost. i'm not condemning
them at all, it was a bad situation to make a call on. most likely
the good authority abiding people were the ones who died mostly and
the panic stricken crazies made it out.
they should not be allowed to build a building so tall unless they have
a way to get them out. this type of trapped scenario has happened time
and time again, especially where no fire sprinklers are present.
brazil comes to mind.
Have a Great Day, Mark
