I agree and it's where the lasting solution really lays but it's a race.

I don't agree with everything Ayn Rand offers but the most important thing
ever written by her (not sure if OM will agree), is the concept that the
sovereign entity is NOT the 'group' (company, county, state, country,
religion etc.). It's the self - the individual.
The sad part is that we are so far away from where we need to be and the
clock is running down.
The US is, and always has been, the closest to this goal. Unfortunately, the
majority of the planet hasn't even gotten off first base and so even the US
must maintain the group concept for her own protection.
Individual sovereignty is our only chance of survival. For that to occur, it
is the individual, each and every one of us, who must accept the
responsibilty of continually questioning our beliefs. That is: their source,
validity, usefulnes, truthfulness and, most importantly, the agenda of those
who insist that you subscribe to theirs.
If every individual on this planet was vigilant against being brain-washed,
then no wars would ever, could ever occur.
How do you know if you've been brain-washed?
Well it doesn't come with a rash and a high temperature. By definition,
no-one ever realizes that they are.
However, if you are easily offended by someone who says something against
your color, state, country, religion, god, trading method etc. or if you
find yourself being the origin of the offense-provoking comments, then
chances are - you are.
