Hello Bill,
nothing beats the fear and excitement of building your own gas jet
turbine engine and finding something to hide behind while it revs up
to 40,000 plus rpms.
except maybe the first time you fire off your liquid propelled rocket
engine and it shoots out a blast at 2.4 mach and you wonder, now what
can i strap this thing to?
then of course there's the cray and the feeling of electricity in the
air, and the minuscule odor of its coolant. i'll take the nerd toys
any day.
