Gerald,
IMHO, OptionVue is one of the best professional programs around. Used by
many market makers, too. A bit expensive perhaps as you also need to
subscribe to their unique background database updates plus unlimited option
data which will cost you over a thousand bucks a year. You might find it
worth the money, though, as the software offers exactly what an option
trader would need.
Regarding brokers, you might try Mr. Stock for online service. IB is good,
too, as far as they go - you have to leg into spread trades, but the speed
of execution is impressive. As far as futures options are concerned, I have
had excellent service from Cargill.
