I have mentioned several times before that I use Ghost for backup and it has
the capability to generate a file which contains the CRC32 "fingerprint" of
every file in the system.  I have made software which will allow me to
compare dates, file lengths and CRC32 values from any given two backups and
determine what files have been added, deleted and changed.  This has saved
my backside a number of times.
