Did Omega ever mention the word license or lease in any of their
advertisements.
No, instead they used terminology that gives the impression they were
selling a product.

When you called Omega and said you wanted to buy their software did anyone
ever get corrected and told their software was not for sale, and the fee was
for a license to use their product.
So you tell your Omega salesman you want to Buy SC or TS and you give your
credit card number, a few days later you receive your software, but before
you can even have your 30 day free trial, you have to click that I Agree
button, which takes away all your rights to ownership of the product you
have just purchased.
In my opinion there is an element of non disclosure, and underhanded dealing
in the process, which could impact a legal dispute, but how much of an
impact would depend on the judge.
