In Win2K under Control Panel/Mouse and on the Pointers tab there is an
option to switch to Windows Standard (extra large) (system scheme). Again
this will change the setting for you entire system. Depending on your
operating system there is probably a similar scheme you can choose from. If
you are feeling bold you might also change the precision select cursor to a
more bold icon picture such as the move icon picture which is easier to see.

Here is a real TS4 beginner's question, but I can't find the answer
anywhere in the documentation.  If your screen background is gray, the
cursor is not very visible unless the mouse button is down, in which case
the cross hairs are displayed.  How can I enlarge the cursor so that it is
visible against a gray screen without mouse down?
