Hango,

IMHO, you have a choice here - to learn C or C++ or to learn something to
easily write TS4 DLLs. The only version of C++ which supports a 16 bit
compile is 1.52 which is about 6 years old. I have a copy but have not used
it. I and many others use PowerBasic DLL which includes both a 16 and 32
bit compiler for EXE and DLL files. PowerBasic is an advanced basic and has
some features normally only found in C. It is easy to use and does the job
nicely.
