I had a similar problem, whereby the Strategy Report appeared to be
hashed out, reinstalls did not help.
The solution which worked for me I found in the registry that there were
multiple repeated entries for pmi - I must admit I can't remember
exactly the key route for these, but once I deleted the excess copies
of the same keys and then reinstalled, the problem was resolved. If I
would have done this carefully, ie keeping the one good set of entries -
I think a reinstall could have been avoided.
