any data1 = symbol suggestions

I'm trying to find a shorter way of plotting the balance of a portfolio than
entering all the symbols manually as data1-data25, for example. Keeping tabs
on a (commented-out) reference table is far from efficient. Is there a way
to declare that data1 etc will be the close of a given symbol, without
manually entering the symbol for data1?
