I have never worked with Omega TS for 24 hour cash forex data as you seem to
be looking for. (I only know Telerate TS from my days in forex trading &
when I worked for Telerate supporting TS). Indeed 24 hour forex does not
have an exchange since the interbank market trades by phone, voice brokers
and electronic brokers such as Reuters, EBS and a few up and coming
companies. Outside of Reuters, Bridge and Bloomberg there are few data
vendors that provide liquid prices in forex. Remember that since there is no
exchange the data vendors rely on contributed rates (and this can prove to
provide for messy charts). If the data vendor does not have sufficient
liquidity you will get some gappy charts - and gaps don't normally happen in
forex. There are two other vendors that I know of - S & P Comstock and
FutureSource (Partly owned by Bridge) who have forex data.
To trade you will have to go through one of the many forex shops such as
FXCM who provide leveraged trading in cash forex. They will have similar
codes for the currency pairs as you have written. If you are interested in a
course on trading forex I do know that fx-strategy.com are offering good
courses in trading forex which is a different skill to that of equity. The
guy you need to talk to there is Doug Schaff who is an old pro who use to
trade for organisations such as Bankers Trust & Pru Bache.

Subject: TS4: Interbank Forex Question
To follow the Interbank currency markets in TS4, can someone tell me:
a) What "exchange" would I need a datafeed susbcription for, in the
Exchange Universe?
b) What are the "symbols" for the following four markets:
USD/EUR
USD/JPY
USD/GBP
USD/CHF
Many thanks in advance!
Simon.
