Now that J-Trader is fast becoming the standard, "best-of-breed" Java-based
order execution platform,
please beware there is movement to make Java real-time enabled.....
implications ?
1) This could spawn a whole host of real-time connected trade backtesting
and analysis platforms in the near future....that have all of the
characteristics of an extensible yet easy-to-maintain platform.
2) No longer under the clutches of Intel.....or Microsoft.
3) Cheap and powerful Linux boxes can be used.
4) Macintosh now a possibility
