One possibility is to use an entirely different chart and/or
workspace, do the calculation, send the data to a global-variable DLL,
and plot it from the DLL on the chart you desire.
This is a different kind of 'hidden data', much more flexible, but I'm
not sure it meets your needs. It does avoid having to have multiple
data sets on the same chart, if that is what you are trying to avoid.
