Thanks Gary, I didn't know this was possible before,
as I was just going by what Tradestation's staff told
me.  But the fact that (as you were kind enough to
point out to me) you would probably have a gap of 1-5
minutes in your data while you manually transfer the
omz file with the TS dataserver offline alone will
mess up most (intra-day) complex indicators and
systems.  That you have to pay 3 companies instead of
one also isn't pleasant either.  Messing with symbol
lists sounds painful no matter how you slice it.  TS
Pro and Metastock Pro RT do it the logical way IMHO.

Regarding the other method (of collecting every tick
on every stock ...) One concern of mine was the data
collection process near the open.  In these times the
last thing I want to do is burdon my patheticly slow 
system and data pipe with trying to collect every tick
of every stock I might possibly ever want to trade.  I
am happy to let Tradestation's servers worry about it.
 More power to those of you who want to do it the
other way.  To each his own.
