I've been told that the CQG interface allows programming of systems.
I don't know about the backtesting capability but one would think
they would provide that along with system capability. And it comes
with excellent support and excellent data.
The Bite Into The Market product from Tarn Software
(www.tarnsoft.com) has programming, backtesting, and optimization
abilities, though personally I'm not wild about the graphical
programming interface. Unfortunately they only have an EOD version
so far.
I wouldn't claim that either of these beat TS's feature set. I'd
love to see a TS-killer. TradeLab made great claims, but so far I
don't think they've lived up to them. Maybe their 2.0 release (with
system development & backtesting) will deliver on the promises.
