I don't know if you're kidding or not, but, assuming that you're not ...

Cray has been around for a VERY long time, long before "personal computers"
existed.  They make huge supercomputers that are used by the likes of NOAA
(or whatever its name is - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration?)
for modeling global climatic behavior.

To say that some piece of software needs a Cray is a bit of tongue-in-cheek,
like saying that following a particular cooking recipe requires a team of
PhDs.
