Anybody know what the specs are on the VIX index? I added it to the symbol
universe using the exchange default. If this is not the correct way to add
this index please let me know.

The CBOE Market Volatility Index (VIX) measures volatility on S&P 100 Index
(OEX) options and provides a good illustration of investor fear in the
marketplace. Declining markets are often associated with an uptrending VIX,
while rising markets are usually associated with a declining VIX. Market
bottoms are generally associated with a significant "spike" in the VIX, as
the Street panics and begins buying put options (as portfolio hedges) at
any cost. When the VIX is simply maintaining a general trend upward, this
is not necessarily evident of panic selling.
