I don't believe that such a choice exists at the moment.
The CME have the Globex2 terminals installed with a POTS line, an ISDN line
and another telephone line for backup. There are no variations allowed to
this set up. They do not support DSL or cable etc.
They are planning to develop a Virtual Private Network but that is still in
its early stages. They are hoping for it to be available by the end of the
first quarter.
When available, the connection method will be the customer's choice, the
terminal will be the customers but the only software supported will be
GL/Trade.
BTW. The cost of the Globex2 terminals just increased a week or so ago from
$400/month to $1,400/month.
