I recently had an opportunity to briefly see the new CQG feature that
executes futures orders automatically. Anyone visiting the FIA show in
Chicago this week can see it on display at either the CQG booth or the CIS
booth. The system allows orders to be placed on trendline breaks and, I
believe, indicator signals.
I have been told that the interface used by CQG is virtually the same as
that which signals e-mail alerts inside TS2000. If this is the case,
linking into a willing Globex or A/C/E front end should not require much
effort.
With regard to liability issues, the customer signs his life away to trade
futures via online entry systems so this additional liability should already
be covered in the customer agreement.
