RE: Dreyfus

I've used them for active trading since March. There are several problems
with Dreyfus:

    1. They do not reflect splits in account until the day after the split.
Thus if you want to sell, or cover short, you have to call the desk.

    2. They only reflect positions & changes in equity during the day for
positions that you came in with. Thus if you liquidate everything on the
open, they do not provide info regarding OTE.

    3. Their fills are just fair. On several occasions they have given me
adjustments ranging up to a couple of thousand dollars on one trade, because
they agreed the fill was particularly poor.

For infrequent trading they are good, but look elsewhere for active
trading.
