Is historybank ok for eod data?

I'm currently using TS-4 with Prophet eod data.  I'm playing
around with TS2k, primarily hoping to use the custom data list
feature but it appears that I must use historybank for that.

So much as been said about historybank on this list, and none of
it good,  that I'm leary of putting in the many hours required
to build an initial "portfolio list."

I'll appreciate any advice from you folks who have used or are
using historybank.
