I've had serious problems with McAfee and would recommend uninstalling it 
completely, including deleting any straggling files and Registry 
entries.  I've had excellent results with Norton on many machines and 
recommend it highly, however others will differ on this.

If your Norton CD is only one year old, you should be able to update for 
free it via their Internet "Live Update" service if you have Norton Web 
Services installed --
