I've been using it in Atlanta for about 4 months. The DSLAM (piece of DSL
equipment at the BellSouth wirecenter I'm connected to) drops about 3 times
a week forcing me to reconnect which only takes 15 seconds or so. About
once a month, the connection goes down for 2-3 hours, forcing me to use
dial-up which now seems totally archaic. The version of the software that
MindSpring supplied with the installation is very, very, very picky about
what version of operating system you install it on and what service packs
are applied. I ended up finding the company on the web and downloading an
upgraded version of their software which has been much easier to use for $40
or something like that. I've got 1.2M down and 400K up. $50 a month. It
kicks ass.
