DTN breadth symbols puzzle

The question is, "Does DTN broadcast individual adv, decl, unch, total issue
and volume data symbols or is the data only contained in the @ISN and @VSN
symbols?" Everyone seems to believe the answer is in composite symbols.
The individual symbols don't appear on the dtn published symbol list for
indexes or statistics. And if you ask someone at DTN when they are going to
have such symbols the answer has been someday when all the other high
priority agend is done. Here are some facts. @ISN and @VSN do appear in
the Global Server Symbol Dictionary and on the dtn symbol list. When
running Ensign software these two symbols have the data in the
up,down, unch, total columns and can be gained by creating custom symbols.
Symbols such as ISNA = @ISN(UP) of ISND=@xxx(DOWN), etc.. Now then the
surprise comes when a UMDS is fed the DTN feed for several days. The
default UMDS index symbol list doesn't have the individual symbols either.
Yet after several days of populating the index fields with all the symbols
that come down the pipe in an auto fill mode, suprisingly the $@ISN, $@ISNA,
$@ISND, $@ISNU, $@VSN, $@VSNA, $@VSND, $@VSNU appear in the list and tick
data is acquired and stored and can be charted with the umds charting
routine. The same is true for the other indexes with issue and volume data,
individual symbols for the up,down, unch, total volume populate the index
list. So, the question again, is this data being broadcast with individual
symbols or is the UMDS smart enough to parse the data out and give each
symbol a name. Or is DTN sending the UMDS some special Process Codes to
separate it. Either Kent did a decent job with this which it would be
convenient if Ensign and Omega did likewise, or someone has failed to
communicate the truth of the matter which is "how to properly enter these
symbols in the Global Server so the data is picked up".
