This is weird because here are few reasons why I'd be surprised that what
you did worked.  You must have done something else in addition.  Below is
the omega.ini file.  You can see it hardcodes the path of your TS4 app into
the ini file so it knows where to find the programs.  What you said you did
would not change these settings.  There are other ini file settings that I
know that also hardcode the path (the downloader path in or_dman is one of
them).  Also there may be files that omega puts in the system file that
wouldn't get copied over.  If you did NOT delete the old TS from drive C
then these paths would have continued working.  If you deleted the old
version then they would not have worked because these paths, unless you
manually changed them, would not point to the your new version.  You icon
paths would have worked because they pointed to the original executable but
once TS4 started and read the ini file in system directory, they would have
pointed back to the old version.  Did you delete the old version?
