With UHF/ULF tapes, you are suppose to be able to make a gadget that
can let you hear the messages. With the rest, you can't. Energy masking
destroys signal. Strong masking signal together with Weak message signal,
what's left is only strong masking signal. Basically, loud noise drowns out
an trace of the softer sounds.
So in God you trust ... and let the tape maker tied up the camel, if he
does :-)
