Quote.com has become my reference to compare to other data feeds for
counting the number of trades, bids (best), and asks (best) for a given
symbol. With the filter option in the T&S, trades or bids or asks can be
selected, listed and numbered. Unfortunately, 2 limitations make this
not useable. 1.) Best bid or ask can not be selected out of the bid/ask
values. 2.) Even though all entries are numbered, you can not jump from
the beginning to the end, but must work from top to bottom using the
Page Down button.
A work around is to copy the data into a word text processor, such as,
MS Word. Delete the times not wanted (before 9:30 am and after 4:00 pm
for stocks). Open Find - "Replace - Find what:" . Here you type in what
you want to find, e.g., Best Bid. "Replace With:" Best Bid. "Search:"
set to Down. Now hit "Replace All" and all Best Bid will be found with
the NUMBER BEING GIVEN as replacements. In the dialog box, asking if you
want to continue searching from the beginning, answer NO and close the
box.
