Ron,

I have been using BlackICE with my cable modem for about nine months without
a problem. I have installed upgrades as they were released.

The icon in the tray flashes whenever it detects a probe, and I occasionally
look to see what has been happening. I sometimes go a week without a probe,
then I may get five in one day. BlackICE has blocked all attacks, as far as
I can tell.

It runs in my machine with Win 98 Internet Connection Sharing, thus it
protects all the machine on my network.
