Importing TS4.0 OMZ data into TS2000i

After three calls to Omega Tech Support I still cannot get a clear
picture of what TS4.0 omz data can and cannot be imported into
TS2000i.

As an example, below are the symbol names for the June 1998 DSP
futures contract (unexpired and expired) as they appear in various
places:

                           Unexpired Expired

TS4.0 data in TS4.0 DSP8M DSPM98
TS4.0 data in TS2000i DSP M8 DSPM98
TS2000i data in TS2000i DSP M8 DSP199806

Where:

TS4.0 data in TS4.0 = TS4.0 symbol in the TS4.0 portfolio
TS4.0 data in TS2000i = TS4.0 symbol in the TS2000i "Import Data" window
TS2000i data in TS2000i = TS2000i symbol in the TS2000i portfolio

You can import unexpired TS4.0 symbol omz data into unexpired TS2000i
symbols OK.

You cannot import expired TS4.0 symbol omz data into unexpired
TS2000i symbols as far as I can tell.

I don't know if you can import expired TS4.0 symbol omz data into
expired TS2000i symbols. I could run the "Nightly Maintenance" on
TS2000i to expire all the old symbols and try it but if it doesn't
work, I would have to delete and re-enter all symbols again which
would be a real pain.

Someone told me that when you run "Nightly Maintenance" TS2000i
deletes your intraday data when it expires a symbol. Other people say
it used to but now doesn't seem to in SP5.

Three different people at Omega told me three different things. This
included various combinations of renaming symbols, none of which
worked.

Has anybody figured out what does work and how you can get your old
archived TS4.0 omz data into TS2000i?

I did learn from Omega that the "Unexpire Symbols" command in TS2000i
does not work. The only way to get back to an unexpired symbol seems
to be to delete the symbol and re-enter it.

Thanks
