The TurboExpress people have a driver for their board that can
externally multiply the rate the port is opened at. i.e. 3X multiplier
=57600 bps. Several Dynastore Light customers use it, I believe.

Subject: TS4.0 - Speed of serial port?!!
To any TS4.0 user who has a real-time datafeed which is connected to a
serial port/card:
I am thinking of getting a faster data feed for use with TS4.0- faster
than
19,200 baud I should say! No problem - just get a faster serial card
like
TurboExpress 920 you might say (I have it!). The problem as I see it
for
all TS4.0 users is that the Server ONLY opens the port at a maximum of
19,200 baud. No matter how great the card is, or how fast the data
transmission is ...the software (Omega Server) is "setting" the
connection
speed every time you run it. This can be seen on the TEPorts display
which
still shows a baud rate of 19200 and software control - even after
installing their own driver.
Changing the hardware profile of the port via Device Manager/Ports to
enable Hardware Control and a faster baud rate ..simply results in the
Server being unable to connect to the port next time around.
Seems to me, like the only solution is to have a high speed card which
permits the Server to open the com port at 19200 baud ...but then have
some
driver to "speed" the port up afterwards ...yet still tricking the
Server
into thinking it is at 19200.
Anyone got a solution? (Please don't suggest upgrading to 2000i!).
Rgds
Simon.
