I have experience with two of the cards you listed.  One is the Pacific
Commware TurboExpress 920 dual port and the other is the SIIG CyberSerial.
The TE920 has a 64 byte buffer and the CyberSerial  has a 16 or 32 byte
depending on the model.  Maybe they have a bigger one now.  Neither has
additional buffering like the Digi.  If DTN does infact produce the D8800
later this summer/fall then the USB or etherlink ports would be the
preferred choice with speeds in the megaherz.  I have tried W2000 with the
TE920 card(need to get the w2000 drivers as they don't come on the
installation disk and are beta at this time).
