Find the DEGAUSS option on your monitor... it'll be either a little button
on the front, or a soft-option (like an onscreen menu), this will blast a
set of electrons at the screen and clear the dust particiles at the back of
your tube. Further, you can go to Control Panel, Display Properties (the
monitor icon), it could be in your task bar, just double click on it. Go to
advanced.
Here are some things you can do:
Go to the ADAPTER tab, and see what your card is set to... if at Optimal,
try 60hz, 70hz, and so on. It can make a big difference. Next, if you have
this (depends on how good your video card is), go to the GAMMA CORRECTION
tab (in the same general area as the adapter tab), and you can set
brightness and colors. From there on, Degauss like ones a week, or every
two weeks. Doesn't hurt doing it everyday either.
