The below statement is very true, oh so true. Yesterday TS4 in BMI had
28,876 ticks for MSFT whereas TS2ki in DTN had 38,543. For CSCO t TS4/BMI
had 89,792 and TS2ki DTN had 122,663. I shudder to think what PS2/BMI
/DataManager would have had. The tick loss using BMI/DM was so hazardous to
trading it had to be shut down. Those using TS2ki with W2000 and
appropriate high speed serial ports and faster cpu/buss/disk probably got
even more. I won't be complaining anymore since the BMI hardware is on a
Fed Express truck this morning.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a question to this list: WHY IS TS2k LOSING
TICKS?". I pointed to the fact that TS2k with BMI data feed seemed to be
losing 15 - 35% ticks compared to the ticks collected by TS4.
I got a lot of responses to my posting, and want to thank all of you who
responded, and some of you for putting in a lot of work testing to find the
answer to this problem. Many traders actually using TS2 as their trading
platform, were unaware of this problem, and expressed shock and disbelief
over the huge loss of data. A stock trader reported that he loses around
50% of the ticks on some of the stocks he monitors - CONSISTENTLY!

It seems, and this is also being confirmed by Omega, that the culprit is the
BMI Data Manager. Omega claims that they have "informed" BMI about this,
but that BMI has shown NO INTEREST IN CORRECTING THIS PROBLEM!

This is nothing less than a CATASTROPHE for the professional trader!
I will urge ALL traders who use TS2k together with BMI data feed, to CONTACT
BOTH your BMI - and your OMEGA REPRESENTATIVE TO DEMAND A CORRECTION TO
THIS PROBLEM - NOW!!!
Remember, both Omega and BMI claim to be "..... the choice of the
Professional Trader..." With 50% tick loss - which BOTH companies now are
aware of, but so far NO CORRECTION - you have to question the seriousness
of their claims.

Cheers,
Odd.
