1.) Back up all analysis techniques by exporting them all to a .ela file from the PowerEditor
2.) Delete all temp files (*.tmp)
3.) Back up Server and MyWork sub-directories
4.) Uninstall ProSuite
5.) Delete remaining files in /Program Files/Omega Research (some files may be left after the uninstall)
6.) Rename /winnt/system32/comcat.dll to oldcomcat.dll
7.) Clean up the registry (delete any remaining Omega stuff)
8.) Reboot
9.) Exit all programs: anti-virus, firewall, other stuff that runs in the background on your machine - all of the special applications that start up automatically on boot on your machine.
10.) Re-install ProSuite (should have no warnings nor problems)
11.) Reboot
12.) Start and configure Global Server using the wizard. Do not go online.
13.) Exit GlobalServer. Start GlobalServer again in offline mode. Then switch to online mode and verify that quotes are being collected.
14.) Exit GlobalServer.
15.) Copy backup Server subdirectory back into Omega Research folder.
16.) Reboot
17.) Start Global Server and go online.
18.) Start TS. Create any type of new workspace as a test.
19.) Exit TS.
20.) Exit Global Server.
21.) Move only the workspace files (*.orw) from the MyWork backup folder to the Omega Research folder.
22.) Start Global Server.
23.) Start TS.
24.) Start the PowerEditor
25.) Import backed-up analysis techniques
26.) Verify that comcat.dll is in /winnt/system32
folder
27.) Delete oldcomcat.dll
28.) Trade!
