problem unxpiring symbols in GlobServ 2000

i am having some problems with the global server 
"Un-expire symbols" feature:
- server runs daily maintenance every time and 
   and expires future symbols based on the expiration date.
- there is no way to turn off daily maintenance completely 
  or turn off  "expire" feature. 
- if some symbols have gaps in data and i was not able to 
  fill those in on time the server will unexpire symbols with 
  gaps present.
- to solve this problem i would have to unexpire symbols
   ( convert those back from  SP199912 to SP Z9 ) and then
  paste in data to patch up the gaps and then expire those 
  again. unfortunately there is no way it could be done.

i was wondering in someone found a solution to this problem.
