well, i bit the bullet and deleted, then reinstalled ts 4.27 {after not
being able to get past a false "security block missing" error message}.
i copied in the eldate.ela from /ts to /prog.
in the offline server, i was able to launch it and get to the charting.
btw, i found the ssiact.386 line in [386 enh] in system.ini
then following the omega backup instructions from a download made 2/5/99, i
closed ts and copied both the \server and \ts folders as well as the \group
folder from my backup hard drive to the main hard drive.
then launching ts off-line, then into charting, i tried to open just one
workspace. ts then kept hanging while the cpu kept crunching.
thinking the index files were corrupt, i exited ts, deleted in 4 index
files, and relaunched ts offline.
back in charting, i tried to open another workspace--again charting just
kept hanging.
any ideas? i'm stuck.
