Bingo, Bob.  You nailed it.

Today my INDU got up as high as 10468.65 before flaking out. The
open was 10141.13.  Highest - Open = 327.52.  Then it dropped 654.66,
which is just under 2^16/100 = 655.36.

Yesterday's highest valid tick was 10136.07, open was 9808.46,
difference = 327.61.

Time to change the PriceScale to 1/10...

Thanks, Bob!
