Before I ordered TS2k and before it was available I had used TS4 and knew
whatever they said you needed you should get 2 or 3 times more machine. I
called them and they gave me the standard pitch to which I asked "Yes but
what should I get if money is not a problem and I don't want to upgrade for
a year or two". I tried to buy a gig of RAM from DELL but they told me I
was nuts and that 256 was fine. It is cheaper to add memory this year than
last.

The bottom line is this machine has been crippled at the open until the last
format of my drive and a clean install of NT4 and TS2k on the SP4 CD. I had
complete control of my machine at the open. Scuzzy drives screaming and
Quotemonitor blinking like a crazy. In the past it might be 20 minutes
before I had real control of the machine, but now it is no problem. That's
all I know.

Dude - that is a LOT of horsepower..and an expensive set-up...I don't think
10% of us are at that level.
Why doesn't Omega mention in their advertising.....
"DUAL PROCESSOR MACHINE REQUIRED FOR REAL-TIME ANALYSIS"
