This seems symptomatic of the ENTIRE securities industry.....PRE INTERNET.
Hopefully, things are changing.....let's see who's STILL around next year.

Subject: Re[2]: DBC Signal - Net Recipe

I can tell you plenty about DBC/BMI problems. Its their upper
management thats the problem. I personally called Brad LaForce and
Bret Charlesworth myself and asked to get a SDK for the E SIGNAL
online service and they said they would have someone contact me.
That person was Sheennan Showers Manager of Business Development.
Well they seem to be all upset that Omega is entering the data feed
business and will be competing against them. So It seemed that they
were interested in TW hooking up to E-Signal. See they like
FutureSource are up the creek without Omega and they know it. They
will never be a serious data vendor without a serious software package
to hook up to. Look at CQG they would own the data feed business IF
they had a good software package that you could actually "seriously"
program. I have done nothing but run into brick walls with DBC,
DTN, CQG, PC Quote, FutureSource.
The opinions are all my personal and in no way reflect the attitude of
those around me. Mark Brown

Tac> Many good people that work for DBC/BMI do not last long. There
Tac> are better opportunities for quality people in that South Bay, San
Fran,
Tac> San Jose area.
Tac> Unless DBC buys DTN (ugh!) expect DTN to take a larger and larger
Tac> share of the pie.
Tac> But don't believe me. Look for yourself: DTLN vs. DBCC
