Since a 27 Gigabyte disk drive costs $169
and a 20 Gigabyte tape drive costs $500
and 20 Gigabyte blank tapes costs $60 each,

Advantages:

(1) extremely fast backups
(2) extremely fast and simple restores
(3) low cost compared to tape
