Another good solution would be to have a channel that doesn't also send
news. Or they could build a box that has several tuners in it and can
collect data from several different channels at once. Never happen.

It would not be feasable with the sat feed but as there are 3 places to
get data on the cable version(cspan 1, amc, tnt) why not just dedicate
one of these to nothing but commodities, with no news or options,
etc.All cable systems furnish these three channels, so give people a
choice .Make one channel at least be on time for commodities. Another
problem BMI cable has is that the time being sent down with the data is
often way off to the correct time .This is probably due to the same
problem of so much data trying to sqeeze in, that it is delayed
also. This is a real problem for someone who is trying to trade off the
close of 1,3,5 minute charts I have seen the time of a one minute chart
be late in updating per Bmi's timestamp by as much as TWO MINUTES! You
can see what I mean by downloading a net program that will show the
correct time as displayed by your computer clock to the time being
displayed by TS 4.0. BMI . apparently, doesnt check the clock that they
use to send time down with data to the atomic clock at the Colorado
Conservatory of Time or The Naval Time Clocks, both of which are
available on the inet .There are inet programs that can be downloaded
that surely could be used to SYNCHONIZE BMI clocks to the CORRECT
time.As for the inet feed...good luck! Mine is so unstable as to render
it worthless for trading.I will not even consider going to e signal
.Just a pitiful observation from an old countryboy in the backwoods of
Tennessee.
