I didn't hear anything back from the list from my post yesterday and
since it was my first attempt to contact the list, I thought I would try
again. I am not a computer person, although after trying to get TS2000i
working since March of last year, I am starting to learn something about
how everything works. I spent my career on Wall Street managing a
trading, market making and specialist firm, so I have experience in the
trading business. I was very excited by the hype of TradeStation,
because I thought that I would be able to utilize some of my experience
as a trader without being a programmer. Oh well!
I have lost all of my intraday-data twice in the last four months even
though I backed it up to CD's. It turns out that there is a problem
with the way the CD writer changes the data when it copies. I have
tried to rebuild the data using the .omz files from the Omega Website,
however importing the data into the Global Server takes a very long time
when it is done a few days at a time.
Is there any one out there who knows a source for past stock and index
data that is in the .xpo format? Please respond to me privately.
